1915 Conferred the Spingarn Medal from NAACP for Outstanding achievement

Guest investigator of research at Kaiser Wilhem Institute for Biology

1919 spent six months in Biological research at Naples Italy

20 years research at Marine Biology laboratory Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Received Rosenwald Fund of 80k a year for research
