On behalf of the members of Gamma Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., home of the "Rock Solid Ques", it is my distinct pleasure and honor to welcome you to our website. We hope that you find our website very informative, interactive and a place you frequently visit to see what the Brothers of Gamma Iota are doing.
As we embark on our 76th year of service to the Sumter community in 2015, we pledge to continue to be a vital part of making a difference in the lives of the people we serve. These are just a few events we have to make that difference:
- William Blanding Mentorship Program – our mentorship program that caters to young men between the ages of 8-14.
- Robert R. Hooper Camp A.M.I.G.O. – a one week camp we have to start our mentorship year that teaches boys our four cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift as well as field trips, swimming, other fun things and life skill lessons.
- 5K Walk/Run Against Domestic Violence – we are the only black male organization that in 2008 internationally denounced Domestic Violence. The proceeds from this event go to a women’s organization that helps victims of domestic violence.
- Achievement Week Banquet – event where we recognize student, community leaders and brothers of the chapter for exemplary service to the community and beyond.
